about

'Wishful Expectations' was recorded at The Forum Music Centre Studio in Darlington by Winter Jargon.

Point of Interest: 'Wishful Expectations' originated with a Sam-penned guitar riff which can be heard on the verses. Following the last note of the song is an excerpt taken from a home recorded demo of 'Wishful Expectations' (originally entitled 'Sam's Pig Song') which featured Rachel on drums and Sam on guitar and ended with hysterical laughter from the pair - which can be heard here.

lyrics

"Cold dripping from the trees. You burn my house. You stole my cup. I have nothing left to lose. Nothing for you to abuse. I'd like to congratulate you on a job well done. Drink. Fill it up. Fill my cup."
