about

Point of Interest: 'Quid (Just Like Ophelia)' was recorded at The Forum Music Centre Studio in Darlington by Winter Jargon.

'Quid (Just Like Ophelia)' is the first of three versions which make up the Quid song trilogy.

Originally all from the same idea, but eventually split into three very different songs, Quid originated from a Sam-penned bass line - which can be heard in the verses of both 'Quid (Just Like Ophelia)' and 'Quid (Looking at Life)' and was then taken elsewhere by Rachel.

'Ophelia' alludes to the Pre-Raphaelite painting by John Everett Millais. The song itself loosely addresses the subject of P.N.D

lyrics

"Immobile and forced against my will. Does it bring you so much pleasure seeing me behind the screen?"

about

Winter Jargon play alternative rock with hints of grunge, indie, gypsy, punk-cabaret, dark-cabaret and acoustic musical ... more styles...

"They're just plain weird..." - Alan Robson, Metro Radio

"What You Are" is really a killer song, with its thunder-rolling chorus, tension and explosive guitar solo. The singer's voice and guitar chops rival those of the early Matt Bellamy." - Online Source less
